Christ and The Epiphany

Worship

Worship is at the heart of what we do at Christ and The Epiphany.

At Christ and The Epiphany Church, first and foremost, we worship.  We sing, we pray, we pass the peace and we celebrate communion.   Our worship is expressed in a variety of ways that includes things we have learned from each rector and music director who has served here.   We try to involve as many parishioners as possible in the service as and we take the invitation to “add your own prayers at this time” seriously.

Our Sunday morning 8:00 service is held in our Chapel.  It is a meditative Rite II Eucharist.  It is a peaceful way to begin your Sunday morning with God.

Our Sunday morning 10:00 service is Rite II Eucharist with music.  In addition to the traditional Book of Common Prayer and Episcopal Hymnal we have a variety of resources for prayer and song.

Our Wednesday Evening 6:30 service is a prayer service.  We offer prayer intentions for the evening then often move to where those prayers lead us.  Sometimes it is as simple as following Evening Prayer, other times the Gospel reading is the focus, other times we end up in a spontaneous form of prayer.  We seem to be guided by what we need at that time.  One of the resources we use is www.pray-as-you-go.org.

In addition to our regular schedule we have other opportunities for Worship, especially around Christmas and Easter.  Please see our home page for upcoming special services.

We thank our worship participants who serve in many ways:
